In 1980 the Lord touched me completely and I became a servant of God with one goal—to somehow take my people along with me to heaven and to make it possible for them to have the peace that God alone can give.
I used to worry a lot about my club feet. But one day the Lord showed me Jeremiah chapter 17, and He told me how the flesh will one day be completely destroyed;
there will be no flesh in heaven. And the
Lord said, “Don’t worry about yourfeet.”
So after that, I stopped worrying. I decided that somehow I would do
everything I could to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ. I completely stopped worrying about my handicap. I figured that
I was the only one who could help my own people. Unless I told them
about the way of peace, they would not be able to understand, so I
decided that I must give my life to telling them about Jesus Christ. I
was working in a place in the jungle. There was a woman who had two
tumors on her neck but she had no money for the needed surgery. So I
said, “Let’s pray together.” As I prayed with great faith, even as I
was standing there looking at those tumors, they gradually disappeared.
I have seen other people healed and this has made me and my Gospel work
very welcome in those villages.
I have no worries about the way I am or the kind of handicap I have. I only want to take my people to heaven so they can meet Jesus face to face.
